The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), in collaboration with Beyondblue: the national depression initiative has developed an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Website and training modules to support mental health professionals throughout Australia in their work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This website attempts to integrate the many factors that influence the mental health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations of Australia. The core content of this site builds on the theoretical material contained in the NSW Institute of Psychiatry Indigenous Mental Health postgraduate psychiatry course. This project has been developed with the assistance of the Reference Group including Beyondblue, Key stakeholders, and representatives from other professional organisations. Community consultations across Australia have informed the development and delivery of this project. You can learn more about the contributors here. Please note that this is a dynamic website, with new materials to be added as appropriate. You are encouraged to visit the site as often as required, and also view new information that may have been added to the site. This website is designed to be a work-in-progress as we want it to be as valuable for users as possible. We welcome any feedback on the site you may have. Please contact us via email.
