Indigenous Mental Health - Module 03 - Virginia Part 03

Case study
Virginia denies feeling sad or depressed, but doesn’t feel “well” and has a lot of somatic complaints including, headaches, lethargy, various musculoskeletal aches and pains as well as restless sleep.  She often gets up during the night to check on the kids and then goes back to bed.  She denies any self-harm or suicidal ideation.  She hates being in hospital as she worries about the grandchildren.  She says she often forgets appointments and “things” because she has too much to do.  The previous doctor told her she could die if she didn’t look after herself.
